Resale Value of Electric Bikes in Pakistan: What Owners Say
How well do electric bikes and scooties hold their value in Pakistan? Used prices for Yadea, Evee, Revoo and Metro, what buyers check, and how to get more when you sell.
With a Honda CD 70, nobody worries about resale. You can sell it in a day, in almost any city, for a predictable price.
Electric bikes are a different story. Buy one, and sooner or later someone will ask: "Bechni pari to kitne ki bikegi?" It is a fair question. The market is young, there are dozens of brands, and buyers are nervous about one thing above all: the battery.
To get a real picture, we looked at used electric scooty listings on OLX and PakWheels and compared them with new prices. We also looked at what owners and sellers say in their ads and in news interviews. Here is what we found.
A note on the data: OLX and PakWheels prices are asking prices, not final sale prices. Some "used" ads are also posted by dealers. Treat these figures as a guide to the market, not exact values.
What used electric scooties are selling for
Model | New price (Rs) | Used asking prices seen (Rs) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
2,53,500 | 1,90,000 to 2,40,000 | Range from PakWheels used listings | |
2,45,000 to 2,60,000 (past) | about 1,71,500 average | PakWheels average used price | |
1,89,000 to 1,94,000 | 1,50,000 to 1,80,000 | One "under warranty" ad at 1.65 lakh | |
1,75,000 to 1,77,000 | about 1,60,000 | 2025 model ad | |
Evee Gen-Z Lithium | 2,15,000 | about 2,10,000 | OLX ad |
1,75,000 | 1,70,000 to 1,85,000 | Many recent ads | |
1,55,000 | 1,40,000 to 1,60,000 | Includes "zero meter" ads | |
3,95,000 | 3,80,000 to 3,89,000 | OLX ads |
What the numbers tell us
1. Nearly new scooties hold value well
Revoo A12 and A11 ads, many marked as 2026 models, are listed at or near the new price. A "zero meter" Revoo A11 was advertised at Rs 1.7 lakh. This is common in a market where new stock sometimes runs short and some buyers prefer to skip the showroom wait.
But be careful: an ask is not a sale. And when an ad is close to the new price, check whether you would get a warranty from the dealer that you would not get from a private seller.
2. Older graphene models lose more
The Metro T9 is the clearest example. It launched at around Rs 2.45 lakh and was later listed at Rs 2.6 lakh. PakWheels shows an average used price of about Rs 1.71 lakh. That is a drop of roughly 30 percent or more over a few years.
The Yadea GT30, launched at Rs 1.89 lakh in January 2025, shows ads from Rs 1.5 to 1.8 lakh. The lower end is a drop of about 20 percent.
The main reason is the battery. Graphene batteries can lose a lot of capacity in the first year or two, and buyers know they may need to replace it soon.
3. Lithium versions keep their value better
An Evee Gen-Z with a lithium battery was advertised at about Rs 2.1 lakh, against a new price of Rs 2.15 lakh. That is a much smaller drop than the graphene versions.
Buyers are more confident about lithium and LFP batteries because they last longer and usually come with longer warranties.
4. Strong brands sell faster
Used Yadea scooties are among the most common on OLX, and Yadea T5 listings still ask for Rs 1.9 to 2.4 lakh, which shows real demand. Brand recognition matters a lot in the used market. Smaller brands may be harder to sell, even if the scooty is in good shape.
What buyers worry about
PakWheels has noted that battery degradation is one of the main concerns that affects EV scooter resale. Buyers are worried that:
The battery will need replacing soon
They will have no warranty
They will not find service for a less-known brand
The real range is much lower than the seller claims
An owner quoted by Lok Sujag described her e-bike's range dropping from 80 to 90 km to around 60 km. Stories like this make used buyers cautious, and they push prices down.
What sellers say in their ads
Looking at how sellers describe their scooties tells you what buyers want to hear:
"Under warranty" comes up again and again. A Yadea GT30 ad highlighting the warranty was priced higher than other GT30 ads
"Battery new" or "battery replaced" is a strong selling point
"Neat and clean condition" and "10/10" appear in almost every ad
"Rear box version" or added accessories are used to justify a higher price
The lesson: battery health and remaining warranty are what used buyers care about most.
How electric bike resale compares with petrol bikes
Petrol bikes like the CD 70 still hold value better. They have decades of trust, simple mechanics and buyers everywhere.
But the gap is narrowing for good electric models, especially lithium ones from known brands. And remember that resale is only part of the picture. If an electric bike saves you Rs 4,000 to Rs 7,000 a month in fuel, as it can with petrol near Rs 394 a litre, two years of savings can easily cover a bigger drop in resale value. How to get the best price when you sell
Keep every document. Invoice, warranty card, registration and service receipts
Sell while the battery warranty is still valid. It is the single biggest selling point
Get a battery health check from the dealer and show the result to buyers
Keep the original charger and both keys or NFC cards
Clean it properly. Scratches and dirt make buyers suspect bigger problems
Be honest about real range. Buyers often test it, and lying kills the deal
Price it realistically. Check similar ads on OLX and PakWheels first
How to protect resale value from day one
Choose a known brand with a good dealer network
Choose LFP or lithium if you can afford it
Look after the battery: avoid deep discharges, park in shade, use the original charger
Service it at authorised workshops and keep the receipts
Avoid modifications that void the warranty
