Electric Scooty Battery Replacement Price in Pakistan
How much does a replacement battery for an electric scooty cost in Pakistan? Lithium and LFP pack prices by size, graphene advice, warranty tips and scams to avoid.
Sooner or later, every electric scooty owner asks the same question: how much will a new battery cost?
It is an important question, because the battery is the single most expensive part of an electric scooty. It is also the part that wears out. Buy the wrong replacement and you could be back at the shop in a few months. Buy the right one and your scooty can feel almost new again.
This guide covers current battery prices in Pakistan, how to tell whether you actually need a new battery, and how to avoid the cheap packs that fail quickly.
When will you need a new battery?
It depends mostly on the battery type.
Graphene (improved lead-acid): Brands like Crown Electric say these typically last 1 to 1.5 years. PakWheels' explainer on graphene batteries says capacity can drop 30 to 50 percent within a year in some cases. Most come with an 18-month warranty.
LFP (lithium iron phosphate): Brands claim 3,000 or more cycles, often around 5 to 7 years, with 3-year warranties on many scooters.
If your scooty is still under its battery warranty, do not buy a replacement yet. Claim the warranty first. More on that below.
Signs your battery needs replacing
Range has dropped a lot. If your 70 km scooty now does 35 to 40 km, the battery is likely worn
The battery gets very hot during charging or riding
Charging finishes much faster than before, but range is poor (a sign of lost capacity)
The scooty cuts out under load, like on a flyover or with a passenger
Visible swelling, leaking or a bad smell from the battery area. Stop using it and get it checked
Not every range drop means a dead battery. A faulty charger, loose connector or controller problem can cause similar symptoms. Mechanics in Rawalpindi told APP that batteries and controllers are the parts that need the most attention, along with wiring and charging faults. Get a proper diagnosis before you spend money.
Lithium and LFP battery prices in Pakistan
Here are listed prices from one Pakistani EV battery supplier, Hybrid EV Engineering, checked in September 2026. Their packs are described as lithium-ion or LiFePO4 (LFP). Prices from other suppliers will vary.
Voltage | 20Ah | 30Ah | 40Ah | 60Ah |
|---|---|---|---|---|
48V | Rs 56,000 | Rs 82,000 | Rs 1,03,000 | Rs 1,50,000 |
60V | Rs 67,000 | Rs 1,05,000 | Rs 1,25,000 | Rs 1,83,000 |
72V | Rs 79,000 | Rs 1,15,000 | Rs 1,49,000 | Rs 2,19,000 |
On OLX, lithium batteries for electric bikes and scooties have been advertised at around Rs 75,000, though the specs on such listings vary a lot.
What this means for popular scooties
To give you a sense of scale, here is what a lithium pack of similar size would cost for some common models, based on the supplier table above:
Scooty | Original battery | Similar lithium pack (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
60V 28Ah graphene | 60V 30Ah: Rs 1,05,000 | |
60V 32Ah graphene | 60V 30 to 40Ah: Rs 1,05,000 to 1,25,000 | |
72V 26Ah graphene | 72V 30Ah: Rs 1,15,000 | |
Revoo A09 | 48V 26Ah graphene | 48V 30Ah: Rs 82,000 |
CM Punjab scheme scooter | 72V 30Ah LFP | 72V 30Ah: Rs 1,15,000 |
That is a lot of money. A new lithium pack can cost half or more of a budget scooty's price.
What about graphene battery prices?
Graphene replacement batteries are usually much cheaper than lithium, which is why many owners stick with them. But prices vary widely by brand, voltage and seller, and we could not find a reliable published price list.
When you get a quote, ask:
Is it the same voltage and Ah as the original?
Is it from the original brand or a third-party maker?
What is the warranty, in months, in writing?
Remember that a graphene battery may need replacing again in 1 to 1.5 years. Over four years, two or three graphene replacements can cost as much as one good LFP pack.
Can you upgrade from graphene to lithium?
Sometimes, but it is not as simple as swapping the battery.
Lithium and LFP batteries need:
A compatible charger (a graphene charger is not designed for lithium)
A proper battery management system (BMS)
A controller that works with the new battery's voltage
Doing it wrong can damage the scooty or create a safety risk. It may also void your warranty. If you want to upgrade, ask the scooty's own brand first. Some, like Yadea, Evee and Metro, sell lithium versions of their graphene models, and the dealer may know what works.
Be careful with cheap and used batteries
This is where many owners get burned.
Cheap batteries from unknown makers. A federal employee told APP in September 2026 that a cheaper battery from a lesser-known company failed within two months.
Used lithium cells. Lok Sujag reported that some e-bikes are built with used lithium batteries to cut the price, and those bikes only manage 40 to 50 km per charge. Used cells can look fine but have lost much of their capacity.
How to protect yourself:
Buy from the original brand or an established supplier
Ask for the battery's specs on paper: voltage, Ah, chemistry and cell type
Get a written warranty of at least 12 months for graphene and longer for lithium
Ask for the new charger if you are switching chemistry
Do not buy from roadside sellers with no shop or warranty
Claim your warranty first
If your battery is still under warranty, go back to your dealer before you buy anything.
Bring your warranty card, invoice and CNIC
Note how the range has dropped and when it started
Ask the dealer to test the battery and give you a written result
If the dealer refuses, contact the brand's head office
Read the warranty terms carefully. Some cover full replacement, others only repair. Some have kilometre limits as well as time limits. The Yadea T5, for example, is listed on PakWheels with a battery warranty of 4 years or 50,000 km.
How to make your next battery last longer
Avoid draining to zero. Charge before it gets very low
Park and charge in the shade, especially in summer
Use the original charger
Do not leave it fully drained for days. If you are not riding, keep it partly charged
Keep connectors clean and dry
We go into more detail in our post on why your e-bike's range drops after a year.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an electric scooty battery cost in Pakistan?
Lithium or LFP packs from one supplier ranged from about Rs 56,000 (48V 20Ah) to Rs 2,19,000 (72V 60Ah) in September 2026. Graphene batteries are usually cheaper but vary widely by seller.
How long does an electric scooty battery last?
Graphene batteries often last 1 to 1.5 years. LFP batteries are claimed to last 5 to 7 years.
Can I put a lithium battery in a graphene scooty?
Sometimes, but you also need a compatible charger, BMS and controller. Ask the brand first, as it may affect your warranty.
Is it safe to buy a used battery?
It is risky. Used cells may have lost much of their capacity. Buy new from a trusted seller with a written warranty.
What should I do if my battery fails under warranty?
Take your warranty card, invoice and CNIC to the dealer and ask for a written test result.
